A moment of respect to remember

It was just another raucous blues jam night Wednesday at the Parkview Nite Club. That is, until musician Christine Jackson took to the stage with her trumpet. Without an an-nouncement, Jackson played “Taps,” while patrons of the crowded West Side bar stopped talking and stood arm-in-arm, remembering what happened on Sept. 11 the year before.
